ANNUAL COMPLIANCE
STAYING UP-TO-DATE
Annual regulatory lessons are mandatory for all employees and assigned at the beginning of the year. These lessons are crucial to ensure the University of Utah holds the safety of our patients and employees to the highest possible standards and are compliant with CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory services. They are also important for the University’s continuing accreditation. Training courses are assigned according to your role.
Thank you for ensuring our organization maintains compliance.
ANNUAL COMPLIANCE FAQ's
-
Annual Compliance courses are courses that are mandated through regulatory bodies such as federal law and regulations, state law, and University of Utah policy. Only courses that are required through regulatory bodies are included in Annual Compliance.
-
We all share in fostering a safe and respectful university culture. The Annual Compliance trainings are designed to ensure that everyone is equipped with the knowledge to contribute to this objective. By completing these trainings, you help maintain the standards that make our university great. The courses you are assigned are based on your job/affiliate code. If you believe you have been assigned courses because you are in the wrong job code, please work with your HR contact to have this corrected.
-
Courses can get stuck if you rush through the course too quickly or the internet connection times out prior to completion. It is best to start the course over and complete from the beginning. Often re-setting your cache fixes the problem. Reach out to the HR Training team for additional assistance.
-
When you finish taking a training, please make sure to click "complete," "exit," or "done" instead of x-ing out of a course. When you re-enter the course it should start at where you left off, which often is the last page. If LearningHub still isn't capturing the completion of a course, please reach out to the HR Training team so they can reset and you can complete from the beginning.
-
You are only required to take annuals for the current year. 2026 compliance courses are due March 16, 2026. After March 16, new employees will have 30 days to complete the required trainings.
