Who We Are

“Collaborating for Training Success” is the vision of the U Training Consortium and the reason that the UTC was originally organized.  The group began as a grass roots effort in 2005, and has grown since then into an organization that includes members from many University training groups, departments, and colleges.  UTC collaborative efforts focus on creating successful training programs, sharing resources and ideas, and promoting awareness of the programs and services we offer.

The UTC also functions as an advisory body to the University of Utah Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs, Health Sciences, and Human Resources.  Working with the vice presidents, the UTC helps establish training policy and provide additional opportunities for campus training organizations and trainers.

The intent of the U Training Consortium is to provide easy access to training programs for employees of the University and the larger community, while offering support and resources to campus training groups to enhance and strengthen their individual programs.

UTC members are committed to the idea that together we can build a stronger training community for ourselves and the patrons we serve, including you.
